A huge success for this game franchise

Recently, a Take-Two Interactive investor meeting took place which revealed information on GTA 6 release date and even provided some hints for Red Dead Redemption 3. Although they didn’t reveal anything, looking at the numbers, fans can hope for the next part of this series.

Both Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption 2 have done some brilliant sales. Let’s check out more details in this article.

Red Dead Redemption 3: Is it happening?

In the Take-Two Interactive investor call meeting, it was revealed that Red Dead Redemption’s PC, which was released on October 29, 2024, was a major success. 

Also according to the reports, the entire Red Dead Redemption series has sold more than 92 million units to date. Red Dead Redemption 2 has sold more than 67 million copies so far, with 2 million sold during the last three months.

Part 2 is also considered to be one of the best-selling games in the U.S. in the past six years. Red Dead Online debuted as a standalone game in 2020, but it came with every copy of Red Dead Redemption 2. 

The company is more optimistic about the success of Red Dead Redemption on PC. Sadly, there is no new content planned for the Red Dead Online; just a few monthly events are planned.

However, seeing such a huge success of this series, there is a pretty good chance that Rockstar might make a Red Dead Redemption 3 in the near future. If it really happens, then fans have to wait for a quite long time before we get the new part for this series.

For now, companies focus on the GTA 5 online and the new upcoming GTA 6 which is still scheduled to be released in Fall 2025. Red Dead Redemption 3 before 2030 is just a pipe dream for the fans.
