A milestone achievement for Warhorse Studios
Warhorse Studios has finally achieved a huge success with Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, as the game has already sold 2 million copies in two weeks. The game was officially released on February 4, 2025.
This follows an initial one million sales at launch, demonstrating the game’s acclaim and popularity. Let’s check out more details in this article.
Fan and Critical acclaim
The game has received a favorable welcome. On Steam, it peaked at 256,206 concurrent players, making it one of the platform’s most popular titles ever, placing 49th.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has certainly resonated with gamers, with 33,479 user reviews and a 91% positive rating, as well as great critical reviews (we gave it a 9/10). Grant Taylor-Hill of Insider Gaming lauded it as a “masterpiece,” citing its sincerity, emotion, and narrative precision.
The official Twitter page developers posted the announcement yesterday by saying, “A toast to you all for making #KCD2 a triumph!”
Embracer CEO Lars Wingefor also commented, “When you have right teams, this trust benefits everyone, including gamers, employees and shareholders. I am convinced that we will remain among the industry leaders in our core business verticals in the future.”

What to expect next?
This is not the end, as there is more to come in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. There will be a new free update this Spring including a Barber function, horse racing, and a Hardcore mode.
The first DLC, “Brushes With Death,” will be available in the summer and will feature protagonist Henry in a thrilling new plot with a mysterious artist. Warhorse Studios also revealed the future mod support on Steamworks, which promises to make Bohemia even more exciting for players.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is just amazing. I haven’t felt this way about a deep RPG since I first played Oblivion. Wandering across the countryside is a lot of fun, and even the shortest mission is full of memorable memories.
