Fans are ready for LOL Worlds 2024

The World Championship is back and we will talk about the League of Legends Worlds 2024 full format, schedule, prize money, and many other things related to the tournament.

League of Legends eSports is considered to be one of the biggest and this time, it will be grander than ever before. Rumors also suggest that Linkin Park may perform the LoL Worlds 2024 anthem. Let’s check out more details in this article.

League of Legends Worlds 2024 full format

Stage 1 (Play-in)

The tournament will begin with Stage 1 (Paly-in) and 8 teams will participate. Next, the teams are drawn into two double-elimination brackets where they will play the best of three matches. The loser from upper round 2 will have to play with the winner from round 1 of the other bracket. Only on top 4 teams will qualify for the next stage.

Stage 2 (Swiss)

There will be 16 teams participating in this round. 12 teams prequalified for Stage 2 and four from Stage 1. This will be played in Swiss style format with five rounds. There will be no rematches.

The matchups will be drawn at the end of each round. The teams who will win three matches will advance to Stage 3. The teams with three losses will get eliminated from the League of Legends Worlds 2024.

Only qualification and elimination matches will be the best of three; all other matches will be the best of one.

Stage 3 (Knockout)

The 8 qualifying teams from Stage 2 will battle in a single elimination bracket. The matches will be the best of 5 in the knockouts.

Prize Money Breakdown

LOL Worlds 2024 will have a massive prize pool of $ 2,225,000 this time. Here is the prize pool breakdown between the teams:

• 1st: $450,000
• 2nd: $360,000
• 3rd-4th: $180,000
• 5th-8th: $101,250
• 9th-11th: $78,750
• 12th-14th: $67,500
• 15th-16th: $56,250
• 17th-18th: $39,375
• 19th-20th: $22,500

Schedule and Where to Watch?

On September 24, we will get the LOL 2024 anthem and from September 25, the Stage 1 matches will start. The finals will be held on November 2, 2024. The League of Legends Worlds 2024 will be live-streamed on Riot Games’ official Twitch channel.
