Pretty close enough; welcome back, Arkham Knight
A highly anticipated series among fans and gamers, officially announced at Gamescom 2025, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is finally here.
This new open-world adventure will present the Dark Knight’s gritty heroism through LEGO’s playful brick-built magic and humor. Let’s check out more details in this article.
Release & platforms
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is all set to launch in 2026 and will be available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam and Epic Game Store.
Fans can now wishlist the game and expect the TT Games’ signature humor and a sprawling Gotham to explore.

Gameplay highlights & bigger map
In this game, the story will follow Bruce Wayne’s evolution from a League of Shadows trainee to the protector of Gotham.
This will be a massive open-world game featuring spots like Arkham Asylum, Ace Chemicals, Wayne Tower and more.
Glide with the Batglider, swing with the grapple launcher, or cruise in custom-made Batmobiles and Batcycles. The Batcave has cars, trophies, and antique Batsuits, notably the Golden Age suit from Detective Comics #27 (1939). Pretty amazing, right?
The combat in this game is pretty much inspired by the Batman Arkham series, with a combo meter, counters, dodges, and gadgets like Batarangs and the Batclaw. For me, this is the best part of the game.
Stealth takedowns and detective vision add depth, while two-player local co-op allows you to team up with allies like Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, or Catwoman, each with their own distinctive weapon, such as Gordon’s foam sprayer or Catwoman’s whip. Difficulty variations, such as Caped Crusader and Dark Knight modes, present new obstacles.
Recent news from LEGO Games News on X also reports that LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will have four Islands, with the South Island potentially bigger than Batman: Arkham Knight’s Gotham in size.
Final Thoughts
Personally, I am not into LEGO games, but I am excited for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. This is only because this is pretty much similar to the Arkham series.
Fans have been craving this for a long time and we are finally getting it in the LEGO style. What are your thoughts on this game? Let us know in the comments section.
