This game is in development by ChillyRoom, core team of veterans from Sony Santa Monica Studio, FromSoftware, and PlatinumGames.

Set against the decaying ruins of the famous Loulan empire along the Silk Road, it has the allure of vanished civilizations mixed with otherworldly elements. If Hades met God of War in a desert tomb, you’d get something similar.

It follows, “The Cursed Sand,” an exiled guard cursed with the power to manipulate sand itself. You have to reunite with the princess while facing the undead hordes and monstrous threats.

Impressive and menacing, the gameplay trailer showcases some stunning and formidable monster designs. A massive sand serpent boss that coils through deep ruins, forcing you to dodge its attacks while reacting with precise sand surges and many other like it.

Final Thoughts

My first thoughts after watching the Loulan The Cursed Sand gameplay trailer were, what if God of War 1 was now made for PS5? This game gives so many similar vibes to that and Hades, which is pretty good.

For now, the exact release date has not been announced, but this game will be released on PS5 and PC.
