GTA 6 has been internally delayed

There have been so many rumors, and now the most recent one is that the GTA 6 release date might be internally delayed by the Rockstar Games. Liam, who is famous for providing GTA-related news and updates, tweeted about the latest updates on Twitter/X.

New GTA 6 release date?

Just to remind you, nothing is officially confirmed yet. These are all leaks and rumors related to the game, but we will keep you updated with all the latest information. Just today, @billsyliamgta on Twitter provided the latest update that GTA 6 might get a mid-2026 release window. 

For the PC, it will be released 16–18 months after the console launch. According to him, this information comes from multiple developers across two studios.

Reasons behind the possible delay?

It was previously reported that Rockstar was trying their best to release this game in Fall 2025. However, in March, according to Kotaku, it was reported that there was a major possibility of the game getting delayed. 

New changes might be due to increased communication within Rockstar Games and challenges arising from the fact that people needed to switch to full-time work from home within a short period.

Also, there are rumors that Rockstar Games might give us another surprise and present fans with Red Dead Redemption 3. So, there is a chance that they will also be working on that game alongside GTA 6.

Many fans aren’t surprised with it, as almost everyone knows how Rockstar presents their games. There have been many delays in their previous games as well, and no one will be surprised if we see the GTA 6 release date to be set in mid-2026.
