Release date and Platforms for Marvel Rivals

The upcoming Marvel Rivals game is scheduled to release on December 6, 2024 and will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Also, the game will have a cross-platform feature to ensure that a wider audience can play this game altogether.

Hero Roster

The game is going to have 33 playable characters from the start. 27 heroes have been already revealed while 6 heroes have been kept in mystery for now.

Wolverine stands out among those who have been teased or leaked, with Hawkeye recently hinted at. This broad roster promises a wide range of gaming approaches, catering to both long-time Marvel fans and newcomers.

Maps

There will be eight maps available for quick matches and competitive mode. There is also a practice range where you can practice with your hero, hone your skills and abilities so that you can outperform everyone during the real matches.

Map Highlight: The Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda is one map that has received a lot of attention. This map depicts an evolved, spacefaring version of Wakanda, where traditional vibranium civilization coexists with cosmic technology. It has huge halls, rich gardens, and hints of prospective new characters such as the Human Torch, which adds to the game’s mystery.

Post-launch plans for Marvel Rivals

The game will kick off with season 0: Dooms Rise. This will be a shorter season to introduce players to the game’s live service model. After that, the season 1 will start from January 1, 2024. There will be a regular three-month season for this game. Each season will bring:

• New heroes to round out the lineup.
• Fresh maps to discover and master.
• Innovative team-up powers improve strategic gaming.
• Battle passes include exclusive cosmetics, with Season 0 offering a smaller, less expensive pass.
