The Endgame final boss has arrived!
NetEase has now officially revealed the Marvel Rivals Path to Doomsday next phase, Infinity War event, which will bring all-new limited-time mode, new gameplay mechanics, Infinity Stones and the Mad Titan, Thanos.
This is to build the hype for Marvel’s upcoming movie, Avengers Doomsday, which is releasing on December 18, 2026. Let’s check out some more details in this article.

Release date for Path to Doomsday: Infinity War Event
The next phase of Path to Doomsday will officially begin on October 9, 2026. This will arrive as a part of Season 10.5 update.
NetEase previously announced that they are focusing on the Path to Doomsday event in this update and this season will only have one hero release, which was Gorr. From next season, we will once again receive two heroes.
For now, NetEase has not confirmed the official timings yet, but based on the previous updates, here are the expected timings:

What to expect?
Unlike the previous event, this will be a completely different format. In a 2v2 tournament, players will be split into 6 teams of 2 and play a fast-paced match. Teams get eliminated in each round until one team wins the game.
In the Infinity War event, developers are also introducing new gameplay mechanics that will shake up the matches. In between the rounds, you can choose powerful modifiers that will alter the powers and abilities.
Every team will also begin with one of the six Infinity Stones, each having its own exclusive powers that will help you in the match.
Teams will be eliminated as they go and can pick up additional Infinity Stones as they continue the game, growing in strength the further they go. There is also an upcoming massive 50-player Avengers: Endgame PvE mode, which will release on October 22, 2026. Here, players will group up to fight against the Mad Titan Thanos and his army.

The event is scheduled to begin on October 9, 2026, alongside the Season 10.5 update.
What is the new Infinity War game mode?
It is a 12-player tournament featuring six teams of two battling through elimination rounds while collecting Infinity Stones and choosing powerful modifiers between matches.
What do the Infinity Stones do in the event?
Each team starts with one Infinity Stone that grants a unique ability. Eliminating other teams allows you to collect additional Stones and become stronger.
