Marvel Rivals Season 5.5: All new team-ups

1 team-up removed and 3 new team-ups

Fans and gamers are pretty excited for the upcoming Marvel Rivals Season 5.5, which drops on December 12, 2025. With this mid-season, we are finally getting Rogue as a Vanguard in the game.

Along with this, NetEase is also removing one team-up, while adding 3 new team-ups in the game. This is surely going to change the playstyle for the characters. Let’s check them out in this article.

New team-ups in Marvel Rivals Season 5.5

In the latest dev vision, it was revealed that the three existing team-ups are getting one new member in Season 5.5. Let’s check it out:

Chilling Assault (Luna Snow – Iron Fist / Emma Frost)

Emma Frost will join the chilling assault with Iron Fist and Luna Snow. She will get a new ability to conjure an ice wall, which also slows down the enemy. You can now conjure a wall and kick your enemy while in the diamond form.

Sword of Duality (Cloak & Dagger – Hawkeye / Psylocke)

Psylocke joins the sword of duality with Hawkeye and Cloak & Dagger. She gains a new ability where she can control light and dark energy.

With her light energy, she throws a returning shuriken that can heal the target and herself while damaging the enemy. This is also based on the number of allies and enemies that are hit.

Meanwhile, with her dark energy, she can use the fade to become invisible and damage the enemy.

Explosive Entanglement (Gambit – Magneto / Rogue)

Newest Vanguard, Rogue, joins the Explosive Entanglement with Gambit and Magneto. When she uses this ability, her basic attack is enhanced and shockwaves heal nearby allies while dealing AOE damage to the enemy.

Removed team-up in Marvel Rivals Season 5.5

Mental Projection

The Mental Projection team-up between Emma Frost and Psylocke has been removed. Emma was the anchor for this team-up. Psylocke gains the ability to have a clone of herself to fool the enemies.
