Hard carry your team
One of the most trending games right now is none other than Marvel Rivals. It has already become fans’ favorite hero shooter game where you can play as your favorite Marvel heroes or villains.
Many gamers and fans are currently doing a rank push, so we thought about bringing you a top five best character tier list, that will hard carry your games. This list is based on my personal opinion as I have already spent more than 80 hours in this game so far and here are the heroes that are currently in meta.
5. Dr. Strange
Every Vanguard or tank in this game is really good. A good player knows how to play with every character, however, Dr. Strange is on another level. You just have to be patient with this character and understand how his abilities work.
His burst damage will build up your dark magic, which can be released as a burst AOE damage that deals a significant amount of damage and might even kill squishy characters. Meanwhile, try to use his shield for defense and block the ultimate abilities of the enemy team. You can also be creative with portals and surprise your enemies by hitting them from behind. If you try this approach, target the healers first. Good heal support for this character will demonstrate just how overpowered Dr. Strange is in Marvel Rivals.

4. Magik
A skilled Magik player can single-handedly carry their team to victory in ranked matches. Although she may seem like a slow character at first, once you master her combos, she can quickly take down opponents.
There are numerous combos for Magik available on YouTube. However, mastering her requires a lot of effort and dedication. You need to learn and practice her combos, use them effectively, and develop muscle memory. While it’s challenging, the payoff is worth it – once you’ve mastered Magik, you can one-shot almost every character except for tanks. In my opinion, Magik is the most difficult character to master in the game, as you’ll likely miss many of her combos in ranked matches in Marvel Rivals.
3. Psylocke
Psylocke is another character with one-shot combos in her arsenal, complemented by excellent mobility and escape methods. A skilled Psylocke player can potentially go an entire match without dying. However, mastering her requires a significant amount of practice.
Her ultimate ability is particularly powerful. Here’s a useful tip: try dashing upward in the air before using your ultimate. This tactic can help prevent you from becoming an immediate target for your opponents. In Marvel Rivals, I’ve seen many players who fail to use her ultimate effectively, often resulting in their character’s death.

2. Winter Soldier, Hela
Winter Soldier is a formidable character in Marvel Rivals. You can repeatedly spam his ultimate ability, making him a force to be reckoned with. A skilled Winter Soldier player can be frustrating to play against, to the point where they might make you want to quit the game. He also has some effective combos that can automatically reload his gun.
One of Winter Soldier’s drawbacks is his limited mobility and lack of reliable escape methods. However, his ultimate ability is a significant advantage. If you manage to get a kill while using it, the ability will recharge, allowing you to use it again. This can be exploited to take down an entire squad single-handedly. Additionally, Winter Soldier’s team-up ability with Punisher and Rocket is extremely powerful, granting unlimited ammo and an increased fire rate in Marvel Rivals.
The same goes for Hela. She is a pretty easy character to learn but to drop bombs back to back, you need to have a good aim. But she is the only DPS character in the game with the most damage. In right hands, she is very deadly and broken.
1. Luna Snow, Jeff, Cloak and Dagger
To be honest, it’s extremely challenging to pinpoint a single top character. However, these three characters are undoubtedly the backbone of any team. Not only are they among the best in terms of healing, but they also deal significant damage when attacking.
Additionally, there’s a particularly notorious character known as “Jeff,” who seems almost devilishly overpowered. I’m sure you’ve had firsthand experience with him by now in Marvel Rivals, so I won’t explain further.
Honorable Mention
Ranking characters in this game is extremely challenging, as almost every character has the potential to be highly effective in the right hands. However, I would like to add Spider-Man, Iron Fist, and Thor to the list of notable characters. Spider-Man, in particular, is very difficult to master, but once you’ve honed your skills, you’ll become a formidable opponent who can frustrate enemy teams.
Thor makes an excellent tank in Marvel Rivals and is surprisingly beginner-friendly. Iron Fist is another character who excels in this role. However, Iron Fist requires precise timing to execute his moves effectively, and it’s essential to escape quickly before getting caught by the enemy team support at the back line.
