4A Games and Deep Silver are all ready to make Metro 2039 one of the major highlights for the upcoming Gamescom 2026. Next week is going to be full of announcements, gameplay reveals and hands-on experience for the upcoming games.
This new upcoming post-apocalyptic title will also have a major presence at the event. It will get a brand-new gameplay trailer, an exclusive reveal and a playable demo for the event attendees.

Metro 2039 new gameplay trailer at Gamescom Opening Night Live
According to the developers, the gameplay showcase will begin on August 24, 2026. There will also be a special announcement on the official social media channels.
The biggest reveal will happen on August 25, 2026, during the Gamescom Opening Night Live, where the next gameplay trailer will debut.

- 8 PM CEST
- 7 PM BST
- 11 AM PDT
First preview and playable demo for Metro 2039
After the official gameplay reveal, selected media outlets and content creators will share their first impressions of the game on August 26, 2026.
In fact, there are already a few journalists and creators who’ve been given access to a playable part of the game and this will be publicly available during Gamescom week.
Metro 2039 will also be playable as a demo in Hall 9.1 from August 26 to 30 for fans coming to the event.
Playable stations will be provided with some of the top gaming hardware such as NVIDIA, AOC and Turtle Beach, giving visitors their first chance at experiencing the upcoming title for themselves.
The booth will also feature photo ops for fans and Metro 2039-themed swag.
