Cinematic blockbuster arriving on June

MindsEye is an upcoming action-adventure thriller game developed by Build a Rocket Boy. The game aims to bring back the cinematic experience once again on June 10, 2025.

It will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Led by former Rockstar North president Leslie Benzies, the studio behind GTA, this single-player title is going to deliver the same experience as Uncharted and Max Payne.

Return to cinematic storytelling

In a recent interview with Eurogamer, assistant game director Adam Whiting shared the team’s vision regarding their upcoming MindsEye.

Modern games have moved away from pulling inspiration from films, which defined successes like GTA and Spec Ops: The Line in the 2010s.

“There’s a way to engage an audience with a video game that you can’t do with a movie or TV show,” Whiting said.

With MindsEye, the Build A Rocket Boy (BARB) team hopes to restore this forgotten skill by providing a focused experience that respects users’ time.

Unlike so many RPGs today that require so much of your time, MindsEye will deliver a 15-hour linear journey, perfect for gamers balancing busy schedules.

They also criticized the company’s heading more towards the live service game and emphasized that they want to deliver more story-driven and cinematic style gameplay.

From the latest gameplay teaser, we can see it is going to be third-person style combat, with crazy driving and cars, with cinematic cutscenes.

The faux-open world, which has a structured, linear design similar to Mafia: Definitive Edition, ensures a streamlined experience without superfluous padding.

It costs $59.99, which is less than other AAA titles, which often cost $70, making it an appealing option for fans of narrative-driven games.

The full gameplay trailer will be revealed soon. We will make sure to keep you guys updated with all the latest information regarding MindsEye.

The pre-orders for this game are already live and fans can’t wait to try this game until GTA 6 releases. What are your thoughts about this? Do share them in the comments section.
