Mobile Legends: Bang Bang aka MLBB is finally getting a new feature, which is really good for all the players, streamers and content creators.

This feature is none other than the built-in screen recorder in the game. Now, if you are a streamer or content creator, you would be using third-party apps.

But now there is no need to use them; however, there are some limitations to this feature as well. Let’s check out more details in this article.

MLBB Recorder features, limitations & release date

The built-in recorder will be available in the game starting from December 18, 2025, alongside Ranked Season 38. The new hero ‘Sora’ will also make his debut on the main server.

Now, this is a free tool in the game that will help you capture your game. Here are some important points to note:

• Pros: No apps needed, quick sharing, in-game audio included.
• Cons: Fixed 720p quality (no custom res/quality), records game audio only (mic permission for sound, but no separate voiceover, add it in editing).

This is based on the advanced server and there is a chance that we might see some changes when this feature goes live on the main server.

How to enable & record clips in MLBB?

This is your simple guide on how to enable and record:

• Launch MLBB and log in.
• Tap the cog (settings) icon next to the mail symbol in the upper right corner.
• Go to the Free Recording tab (on the left sidebar).
• Toggle between In-Match (only during games) and Out-of-Match (anywhere, including lobby chats and skins menus).

How to download or share MLBB clips?

• From the main menu, select Settings > Free Recording.
• Choose your clip from the list.
• Share immediately on social media (TikTok, Instagram, etc.) or download to your gallery.
