Insider suggests GTA 6 deal could be worth $100 million
According to a popular industry insider from Insider Gaming, Tom Henderson, Netflix could have paid close to $100 million to secure the temporary exclusivity of the upcoming Extended Look.
However, do remember that this figure is an estimate and nothing is officially confirmed by Rockstar Games or Take-Two.
Henderson says Rockstar wouldn’t have made the decision to limit the first airing of one of the biggest game industry leaks without a big financial deal.
The estimated value of the Netflix deal would be similar to that of approximately a million game sales, based on the reported $80 starting price of GTA 6.
This would be in contrast to the retail game business, which would presumably include a direct payment from Netflix, and not revenue that’s generated over time via purchases.
The exact amount is unclear, but the insider expects that the pact might even surpass the $100 million mark.
