Old classics making a huge comeback!

After a new Spyro game was revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase, it appears that another old classic is making a comeback as well. A new Crash Bandicoot game is rumored to be in development.

According to a trusted industry insider, No arms and no legs, this new project has been greenlit by Xbox. There is no doubt that Microsoft seems to be investing heavily in nostalgic Activision-owned IPs. Let’s check out more details in this article.

Know more about the new Crash Bandicoot game

This information was revealed by an insider “No Arms and No Legs,” who recently leaked most of the Xbox Games Showcase announcement, along with the new upcoming Spyro title.

He recently said that Xbox has greenlit a new Crash Bandicoot project. Do remember that nothing has been officially announced or confirmed by Xbox, Activision or developer Toys for Bob yet.

Toys for Bob could be the developers

The leaked information does not confirm any particular studio, but there is a lot of speculation that Toys for Bob is most likely the developer for this rumored project.

This studio has already worked on:

  • Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time
  • Crash Team Rumble
  • Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
  • Spyro Reignited Trilogy

At this point, there might be no better studio to handle the next Bandicoot game for Xbox. Currently, the studio is working on the newly announced Spyro game, which is expected to launch in Spring 2027.

Conclusion

As of now, treat all information as a rumor until we get confirmation from Xbox in the future. If the leaks are true, then fans can expect this game to be released in 2028 or 2029.

However, for the fans, it will be a huge win as both the nostalgic games, Spyro and Crash Bandicoot, can make a comeback in the future.

Is a new Crash Bandicoot game officially confirmed?

No. The project has not been officially announced by Xbox or Activision and currently remains a rumor.

Could Toys for Bob develop the new Crash Bandicoot game?

While not confirmed, Toys for Bob is considered the most likely developer due to its history with both Bandicoot and Spyro.
