CD Projekt RED has already announced that The Witcher 4 will start the Ciri trilogy and there will be two more games after this one.

Know more about The Witcher 4, 5 & 6
Co-CEO Michał Nowakowski has revealed that the Unreal Engine 5 has helped them a lot with the production and development of The Witcher 4.
They are now looking forward to delivering Witcher 5 and 6 also within the 6 years and it might be possible due to Unreal Engine 5.
Here’s what he said at CD Projeckt RED group conference:
I think you could have seen some of that with your own eyes with our tech demo reveal at Unreal Fest couple of months ago, and we’re very happy with the results of that as well – we’ve already said that, but I’m always happy to say it again – and we’re happy with how the engine is evolving through the Epic team’s efforts, and how we are learning how to make it work within a huge open-world game, as The Witcher 4 is meant to be.
Witcher 4 has already entered full production with nearly 450 devs currently working on it. The game will not release in 2026 and will not be showcased in the upcoming Game Awards 2025.

Final Thoughts
It is truly amazing if we get Witcher 4,5 and 6 within the 6-year timeframe. It is largely possible due to Unreal Engine 5.
However, the fans will be worried about the pace and rush of the development. Hopefully, there won’t be any Cyberpunk-type mistakes.
The company can take a much longer time to develop the trilogy, as fans would be happy to wait to complete Ciri’s journey in the game.
