Project Polaris, also known as The Witcher 4, has officially entered full production, as confirmed by CD Projekt Red. Recent Q3 2024 meetings and earnings reports have revealed many new projects and details.

Know more about The Witcher 4

During the earnings call, CD Projekt Red’s CFO, Piotr Nielubowicz, announced, “I’m pleased to share that several weeks ago, we moved into full-scale production.” He expressed his gratitude and noted that everyone in the company is quite excited about this project.

As of October 31, 2024, it was reported that approx 400 members are dedicated to this project. That means 61% of the workforce of CD Projekt Red is working on The Witcher 4. This is a very good sign for the fans as you can see, the company is fully focused on delivering a GOTY-worthy game. Although, recently they have made a little adjustment to work on other projects.

Sebastian Kalemba, the Game Director, took to social media to share his excitement, indicating the team’s new challenges and talent. He urged followers to stay tuned for future updates.

It was revealed in October 2022, that the Witcher series will enter a new fresh trilogy in the Witcher universe. There will be elements related to Geralt of Rivia that will align with the new saga.

When can you expect the game will launch?

Not anytime soon because we know that CD Projekt Red is going to take a long time. I am pretty sure that we won’t get this game in the next 3-4 years.

Maybe this game will start to launch the next new-gen console like PS6 and new Xbox. That would be a pretty good time to drop the game. One thing is for sure ‘The Witcher 4’ sales will be one of the best and all-time highs for the CD Projekt Red.
