PWHL is going to make this game more interesting

Just like EA FC and previous FIFA games, EA Sports has decided to add Professional Women’s Hockey League teams in NHL 25. This update is scheduled for December 5, 2024.

This historic inclusion not only expands the scope of the game’s content but also honors the evolution of women’s hockey. Let’s check out more details in this article.

What’s new in NHL 25?

All of the six teams from PWHL: Boston Fleet, Minnesota Frost, Montréal Victoire, New York Sirens, Ottawa Charge, and Toronto Sceptres will be included in the various modes. You will be able to play with these teams in Play Now, Online Versus, Shootout, and even Season mode.

This will also enhance the World of Chel and Hockey Ultimate Team which will provide players with more options for squad building. While the initial version may not include all player likenesses, EA Sports intends for future upgrades to offer more detailed representations of the athletes.

This update will align with the PWHL season 2 which will provide a more authentic experience alongside the real woman’s sport.

Some additional features

It is expected that EA Sports is set to introduce the Four Nations Tournament within the game. This will provide players with another International tournament in NHL 25.

A new Arcade mode aims to provide a different flavor to the action, making it more accessible and enjoyable for all types of players.

Bill Dollar, NHL 25’s Executive Producer, expressed enthusiasm for the revamp, emphasizing how it caters to the lively energy of the NHL Arcade and extends into the new PWHL league inclusion.

The introduction of the PWHL represents a big step toward inclusivity in sports gaming, with the potential to inspire more fans and players to engage with women’s hockey both within and outside of the virtual world.
