Hockey fans are pretty excited as EA Sports has finally announced the new information on their upcoming NHL 26 game.

September 2025 is all about hockey, marking a throwback to the first time since NHL 20 in 2019, which broke the recent October trend, as noted by IGN. Let’s find out more details in this article.

Official release date & platforms

Mark your calendars for NHL 26, set to release on September 12, 2025, on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The early access for the players who have purchased the Deluxe Edition will start on September 5, 2025.

So, you can play the game a week earlier and the Deluxe edition also includes Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk and NHL legend Keith Tkachuk joining their brother/son Matthew (Florida Panthers) on the cover.

If you are wondering about the PC and Switch 2 platforms, we have some bad news for you. There is no official confirmation about when the game can arrive on these platforms.

NHL 26 is packed with some exciting features:
