Latest Nintendo Switch updates & news
This quarter, Nintendo’s hardware and software sales declined by 31% and 27.6%, respectively. As a result, Nintendo reduced its projection downward. They now anticipate to sell 12.5 million Switches (down 1 million) and 160 million software units (down 5 million).
It is also expected that Switch will pass 150 million by the end of December. It’s all up to Nintendo how much it sells in 2025, whether or not they lower the price and when the Switch 2 comes out. The biggest game Switch has left is Pokemon Legends Z-A. It is larger than anything they launched in 2024.
Nintendo President Furukawa said there will be no changes to Nintendo’s plans to introduce the Switch’s successor by the end of March 2025.
