This announcement was officially revealed on social media through the official channels. According to the developers, Season 30, which will start from August 4, 2026, will make the game completely unplayable on Nintendo Switch.
Until then, the Switch users can play the game normally without any issues.
Why Respawn is ending Switch support?
Respawn Entertainment explained that the decision was made to keep providing the high-quality game experience as the game further evolves.
With Nintendo’s investment in the Nintendo Switch 2, the new hardware provides improved performance and a more immersive handheld experience for fast-paced games like Apex Legends.
The studio also clarified that these changes will only affect Nintendo Switch. Players and fans can play the game without any issues on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
