Huge indie sensation is finally here
Sony has finally revealed the PlayStation Plus May 2025 free games, which will be available to download for free for subscribers starting from May 6, 2025.
Fans would be able to claim the new games until June 2, 2025, as long as they have maintained an active subscription. Letâs check out the upcoming games that will be added to the lineup in this article.
May 2025 free PlayStation Plus games
- Ark: Survival Ascended (Playstation 5) Studio Wildcardâs Unreal Engine 5-powered game, a reboot of the 2015 survival smash Ark: Survival Evolved, will be available in late 2023. It has improved graphics, new physics, and includes extensions such as Scorched Earth and Genesis Parts 1 and 2. Survive by taming dinosaurs, crafting, and building in a world that can host up to 70 players online or two in local split-screen.
- Balatro (PS5, PS4): LocalThunk created this poker-inspired roguelike deck-builder. With over 5 million units sold, Balatro challenges players to form alliances with 150 Jokers and overcome growing blinds. Its engrossing gameplay has garnered it several Game Awards 2024 nominations, making it a must-play.
- Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun (PS5 and PS4) Auroch Digitalâs classic âboomer shooterâ will be available in May 2023 and will immerse you in the Warhammer 40K environment. Play as Malum Caedo, a Space Marine on the hunt for a strange shard, in a 90s-style FPS featuring pixelated graphics and fast-paced combat against Chaos forces.
Balatro and Warhammer Boltgun are the best additions that you can ask for. However, Ark: Survival Ascended doesnât feel like a good choice for me.
Let me remind you once again that you only have till May 5, 2025, to redeem the April month free games: RoboCop: Rogue City, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth â Hackerâs Memory.
Many games will be leaving the PlayStation Plus game catalog in May 2025. New games will be added soon, which will be announced by PlayStation later this month.
