Sony PS5 has claimed the throne as the best-selling video game hardware in the US for November 2025. It has beaten Nintendo Switch 2 and other consoles in both units and dollars.

Hardware spending fell 27% year on year to $695 million, the poorest November since $455 million in 2005. Total number of units sold? Just 1.6 million, the lowest for a November since 1.4 million in 1995. All the data was revealed by Circana’s latest report.

PS5 dominates sales

Sony PlayStation 5 has once again dominated the console market in the US, Switch 2 following closely behind, while in 3rd place we have NEX Playground. Xbox has been beaten on its own playground.

Battlefield 6 (EA) remained number one in software year-to-date through November 1, 2025, a position it has held since its October launch. NBA 2K26 and Monster Hunter: Wilds complete the podium. Newbie Despite all the hoopla, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launched at number seven.
