Resident Evil Requiem DLC reportedly in the works as well

After a huge success for CAPCOM with Resident Evil Requiem, fans are now wondering about the next game, Resident Evil 10 and more projects in the franchise.

According to well-known insider AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem, the next game in the franchise is already in development and could potentially launch in 2029.

However, he has also warned the fans that the game development timelines can change at any time. This means that the next mainline entry could shift further, possibly for late 2031, depending on the production and development.

Resident Evil Code: Veronica Remake may arrive first

Before Resident Evil 10, Capcom is preparing for another remake. There are already many leaks regarding the Resident Evil Code: Veronica Remake, which could possibly be released in the first half of 2027.

Capcom’s recent strategy has been to revisit the old Resident Evil games, remaking them while continuing the mainline storyline.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Resident Evil Requiem will receive DLC, and that Leon Kennedy might be a playable character.

Resident Evil 1 Remake is still far from release

Another interesting detail from Dusk Golem involves the potential remake of the original Resident Evil. The reports suggest that there has been discussion internally at Capcom and the project is still said to be in early-production.

Dusk believes that this remake will take 4 to 7 years before it is ready for release. Fans might not see this project until the early 2030s.

Other Resident Evil projects

The rumors and reports suggest that there are more projects connected to the franchise. There is a remake of Resident Evil Zero, which is reportedly targeting a 2028 release.

Meanwhile, it also seems that certain projects that were planned before have been terminated over the last several years. They consist of a presumed Resident Evil Revelations 3, a game concerning Albert Wesker, and another one where HUNK is the protagonist.

For now, whether it is related to Resident Evil 10 or Resident Evil Code: Veronica Remake, nothing has been confirmed by Capcom. Fans can only wait patiently and let Capcom cook for the franchise and the upcoming projects.
