Resident Evil Reqiuem announced at Summer Game Fest: February 2026

It’s finally here

The bait was thrown and everyone was hooked till the end of Summer Game Fest 2025. But towards the end, Resident Evil Reqiuem reveal was the best part of the show.

It won’t be wrong to say that this was one of the best gaming shows in recent years. Now, we finally have the first look at our Resident Evil 9.

Capcom has finally revealed the Resident Evil Reqiuem trailer and the best part is that the game is releasing on February 27, 2026.

Towards the mid-show, we were shown the message that it would take a little time for the trailer reveal.

Everyone and myself was disappointed, but we know that the developers need time to cook something good.

We were all misled and towards the end of Summer Game Fest, they finally revealed the new Resident Evil 9.

This is the official description of the game:

“Resident Evil Requiem is the ninth title in the mainline Resident Evil series. Prepare to escape death in a heart-stopping experience that will chill you to your core. A new era of survival horror begins in 2026. Technological advancements combined with the development team’s depth of experience combine in a story with rich characters and gameplay that’s more immersive than ever before.”

A full +3 minute trailer, along with the upcoming story of a new character. We also got the first look at the remains of Racoon City after it was nuked.

Many fans are speculating that Leon Kennedy might be involved in this game. This game seems ridiculous and might be the title that ties up the franchise storywise; it also appears to be a third-person game.

Resident Evil Reqiuem will officially release on February 27, 2025 and will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
