Mercenaries Mode returns in Resident Evil Requiem

According to a dataminer SYRKOV, he has found several unreleased audio tracks within the game files. Reportedly, there are ten tracks, which do not appear anywhere in the base game.

This hints that this may be reserved for the upcoming content in the game. Some of these tracks are intense, fast-paced tones with ticking sound effects. This resembles the high-pressure gameplay style of Mercenaries Mode.

Longtime fans of the franchise might be familiar with this mode. This is known for its time-based challenges, where players have to defeat the waves of enemies to extend the clock and rack up high scores.

This mode has previously appeared in Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 Remake. There is no doubt that Resident Evil Requiem’s combat style will surely suit this mode.
