After a lot of rumors and leaks, Capcom has finally revealed Resident Evil Veronica at Summer Game Fest 2026. The developers have also confirmed that this beloved 2000 survival-horror remake is scheduled for 2027.

Resident Evil Veronica remake release window revealed
Capcom has officially confirmed that the Resident Evil Veronica remake is going to launch sometime in 2027. For now, they have not confirmed the exact release date for this remake.
In the trailer, fans can see the upgrades, visual enhancements, redesigned environments and modernized character models. The quality pretty much looks exactly the same as Resident Evil Requiem.
Claire Redfield’s return & story details
In this game, the story will focus on Claire Redfield, who is continuing her search for her missing brother, Chris Redfield, after the events of Resident Evil 2.
Her investigation is going to lead her to Paris, where she is captured and transported to the infamous Rockfort Island Prison. This was also shown in the latest trailer.
Just as she arrives, a devastating T-virus outbreak unleashes a horde of infected creatures across the whole facility.
After finally arriving at an isolated Antarctic research station, Claire uncovers even more facts about the Umbrella Corporation and the enigmatic Ashford family.

For now, Capcom has not revealed the extended gameplay for the remake, but from the trailer, fans can expect:
