In a recent interview with Bloomberg, Rockstar development lead Phil Hooker has revealed that GTA VI is an evolving project. The developers are continuing to refine the gameplay, systems and overall quality until the very end.
Rockstar Games never considers a game locked until release. The development team still works overtime in the last few months of production, he said.
He also mentioned that GTA 6 has seen some changes recently as Rockstar has focused on providing the best version of the biggest game it’s ever created.
This is not an unusual practice for Rockstar. The studio has a long tradition of optimizing gameplay, patching any bugs and making final tweaks to make sure that its products live up to its own and the players’ expectations.
