The hacking group, ShinyHunters, has claimed that they have the company’s internal Snowflake data through a third-party analytics tool called Anodot rather than hacking Rockstar or Snowflake directly.

The hacker posted more on their leak site and is now demanding ransom money from Rockstar, or they will release financial records, player money spending data, GTA VI marketing timelines, voice actor contracts and more by April 14, 2026.

For now, both Rockstar and Take-Two have stayed completely silent and have not released any kind of statement yet.

Also, this does not look like it will have an overall major impact on the game to cause another delay, since there is no game code involved. It appears they only got some marketing leaks, prices and contract details.

Rockstar has now officially confirmed about the data breach. There is limited amount of non material information was accessed in connection with a third-party breach. This has no impact on their organization or players. They have confirmed this via Kotaku.
