Upcoming skateboarding indie game by Sam Eng 

Skateboarding games are very fun to play and recently, Sony has revealed that the upcoming Skate Story game by Sam Eng and Devolver Digital will be on PS Plus from day one.

This will be available for Extra and Premium subscribers. Transform into a glass-and-pain monster riding a Devil-granted skateboard while you consume a pale planetoid. Let’s check out more details in this article.

Skate Story is all set to launch on December 8, 2025. It will also be available on PS Plus from December 8, 2025, as well.

From the trailer, you can see many soul-shaping boards, boss stomping combos, customization for your board and amazing environments and stages.

Here’s the official story description revealed on the PlayStation Blog:

So, you’re a skateboarding demon made of glass and pain. And that pain is only highlighted by the sleepless torment partly caused by the Moon’s brightness. Hungry and tired, the nameless demon aims to consume the pale planetoid, but the only way they can reach it is via a skateboard granted by the Devil… for a price.

Skate Story gameplay: Combo stomps, boss battles & exploration

• Dash down tiny chutes, rail-slide ruins, and grind gates.
• Combat: Create trick chains to destroy enemies with an aerial stomp.
• Worlds: Massive, creepy biomes—skate to consume, survive the splat.

There is also a customization hub feature in the game. Here, players will get shapeless soul space that serves as a hub that bridges each chapter and area. Players can easily customize their boards.

The customization costs soul currency in the game. This can easily be earned by performing stunts.
