Sony PlayStation State of Play Live; Expect Ghost of Yōtei, Death Stranding 2 & more

The Sony PlayStation State of Play will begin on February 12, 2025, at 2 PM UT. This will be the first PlayStation showcase event of 2025, featuring some major reveals.

The event will run for more than 40 minutes and will feature “news and updates on great games coming to PS5” from developers around the world.

The official news was announced on the PlayStation Blog, keeping all information about the games hidden for now. Fans have already begun predicting and speculating about what they might see in this year’s first showcase event.

Ghost of Yotei and possibly Death Stranding 2 are the most likely contenders to be included, both of which are expected to be released in 2025. Ghost of Yotei was first shown in September, while Death Stranding 2 was initially revealed during a State of Play event a year ago.

Live-service games, such as Bungie’s Marathon, Fairgame$, and Guerrilla’s highly anticipated Horizon multiplayer feature, are among the few that Sony has yet to release.

This is not all as the rumors and leaks are going around of the new God of War game where we might see Young Kratos once again. This might either be a reboot or a remaster of the Greek saga.

Some more new information related to Lost Soul Aside might also be revealed. Stellar Blade’s official account on X (formerly known as Twitter) has also retweeted the PlayStation State of Play event tweet. Fans are speculating that Stellar Blade DLC might also get announced.

More information on Final Fantasy games might also be revealed along with some more new content on Metal Gear Solid Delta and Monster Hunter Wilds. GTA fans are also hoping for a miracle where Rockstar might drop a new trailer or release date for GTA 6 in PlayStation State of Play event.

The unknown element has made this event even more hyped, and we cannot wait to see what Sony has in store for this live event.
