Leaks: PS6 with 30GB GDDR7 memory & PlayStation handheld with 24GB RAM
According to the insider information, the PlayStation 6 could be equipped with 30GB GDDR7 memory. This will be a huge leap from PlayStation 5.
The hyped architecture was to have 3GB memory modules fitted in a clamshell configuration so that Sony could have a smaller memory bus but obtain faster speeds and bandwidth.
Reports have it that this setup can create bandwidth speeds of up to 640 GB/s, which would go a long way in supporting high-resolution gaming and advanced graphics capabilities that next-generation titles provide.
Aside from the new console, we have also gotten the new information about the PlayStation Handheld, which is currently referred to as Project Canis.
This handheld is said to feature up to 24GB of LPDDR5X memory, which could be said to be comparable to the current powerful handheld, the Asus Xbox Ally X.
