Saber Interactive didn’t let down the Warhammer 40,000 universe fans and community by delivering Space Marine 2 which was just a masterpiece.

It lost by a slim margin to Black Myth: Wukong during its nomination for Best Game of the Year at the 2024 Steam Awards, but it still receives praise for its graphics and gameplay. Now fans want to know what lies ahead in 2025 for this series.

What’s next for Space Marine 2 in 2025?

We can finally get excited for the PvP experience as a new map designed for close-quarters combat will soon be introduced, enhancing the tactical gameplay.

Players will also have access to Custom PvP lobbies with Patch 7.0, which will enable them to customize match parameters including player count, class restrictions, and battle length.

Fans may look forward to the release of the highly sought-after Horde mode on the PvE side, which promises hours of fierce, team-based defense against waves of adversaries. In addition to new adversaries, missions, and a more challenging difficulty level with new rewards, Season 3 will also include the Prestige Rank system for further class enhancements in Space Marine 2.

Some may be surprised to see that the new Champion from the Salamanders Chapter is a Sniper class, as opposed to the Raven Guard’s emphasis on stealth. To increase the variety of the lore and gameplay, Saber Interactive makes references to specific plans for the Raven Guard, maybe including a Jump Pack Assault Marine.

A whole new level of upgrade in customization as well with a new option to make Space Marine fully yours. The Datavault, a new area on the Battle Barge where players can discover knowledge and insights about humanity’s foes, is a major addition that enhances the game’s story.
