In London, T1 Esports and T1 Faker showed the whole world why they are considered the greatest of all time in LoL after winning the League of Legends World Championship 2024 for the fifth time.

T1 Faker with 500th kill

The League of Legends World Championship 2024 was a great tournament for T1 Faker, and he performed exceptionally well. He won his 100th League of Legends match on October 12, 2024 and now he has secured 500th kill in the tournament.

T1 had pulled even with Bilibili Gaming, the team attempting to win on the biggest platform in esports, after falling behind 2-1. During the fourth round of the series, Faker defeated BLG Xun to secure the 500-kill record, and shortly after, T1 won the map and prepared for game five.

T1 Esports are your champions

T1 Esports won the finals against Bilibili Esports and the $445,000 grand prize for first place in the tournament. Most esports fans watched these grand finals.

Esports Charts reports that the opening ceremony alone drew more than 4.2 million concurrent watchers. That essentially set a new record, surpassing the previous high of 3.3 million set in 2022.
