Bandai Namco has officially shared the details about the Tekken 8 Ver. 3.00 update, which is all set to go live on March 17, 2026. This time, the update mainly focuses on battle balance, an overhaul of the rank system, and player feedback tools.

TEKKEN Dev Feedback Portal (Beta)
- Launching a beta version of the official development forum.
- Players can submit bug reports and feedback on battle balance using dedicated forms.
- Submissions are vetted and shared on the TEKKEN Developer Feedback Discord.
- Separate from the Official TEKKEN Discord.
- All feedback is examined; however, not all proposals are guaranteed to be incorporated.

Battle Balance adjustments
- Implemented the “Refine” balance theme for Season 3.
- Adjustments consider each character’s concept, strengths, and flaws.
- Measures taken to prevent extreme performance discrepancies between characters.
- Reassessed the link between character-specific power-up mechanisms and the Heat System.
- Prioritized adjustments fit with Tekken 8’s fundamental gameplay and comments gathered so far.
- Full balancing patch notes expected for delivery on March 17.
Ranked matches updates
- Main character levels reset by up to four tiers.
- Lower limit: Marauder (Rank 6).
- Subcharacters will no longer begin with the same uniform rank.
- Individually defined beginning rank for each character.
- Special titles conferred based on the highest Season 2 rank attained.
Ran points adjustments
- Adjusted bonus points for winning streaks
- Adjusted bonus points for rank promotions.
- Added bonuses for rematch (revenge) victory.
- Revision of rank demotion conditions.
Matcmaking improvements
- Matchmaking depending on the presently selected character rank.
- Discontinued matchmaking based on the highest-ranked character.
- Adjusted time and target ranks to raise sub-character ranks alongside main character progression.
- Additional optimization to decrease matchmaking wait times.
- Ranked-related patch notes slated for March 17.
Additional content and features
- Added player customisation slot functionality.
- Increased number of character customization slots.
