DOTA 2: The International 2024 is heating up as we have reached the main event where the qualified 8 teams will fight for the championship in the Royal Arena.
Team Spirit wasn’t able to qualify for the main event as they were defeated by Team Xtreme Gaming. Let’s check out more details in this article.
Teams competing in the Main Event
Cloud9, Team Liquid, Tundra Esports, and Gaiming Gladiators are in the upper bracket. Here are the top 8 teams who will try their best to grab that DOTA 2 Aegis of Champions trophy.

There were six direct invite teams and five have been qualified. Team Spirit, who were also invited, couldn’t make it this time.

Match Schedule
Four best of the three matches will be played on September 13 and 14, 2024. Then on the last day, we will have one best of the three and one best of the five. Here is the list of teams who will be playing against each other first.
- Sep. 13 10:00 UTC, BB Team vs Team Falcons
- Sep. 13 13:00 UTC, Aurora vs Xtreme Gaming
- Sep. 13 16:00 UTC, Team Liquid vs Cloud9
- Sep. 13 19:00 UTC, Tundra Esports vs Gaimin Gladiators
BB Team and Team Falcons who are in the lower bracket will face the elimination match and they both were the invited teams. Falcons fans surely praying hard right now for their team.
The Chinese fans will be supporting Team Xtreme as they are the only team who are from China in the competition now.
