New Action-Adventure game from Eclipse Glow Games
Tides of Annihilation was probably the most surprising and jaw-dropping reveal at Sony PlayStation State of Play. This is a new fantasy action-adventure game by Eclipse Glow Games, a studio which is funded by Tencent.
It is packed with talented developers who have previously worked in Yakuza, Persona, For Honor’s and Assassin’s Creed franchises. Let’s check out more details in this article.
Know more about Tides of Annihilation
Tides of Annihilation combines Arthurian tradition with modern storytelling in a surreal vision of London under attack by otherworldly beings. Players assume the role of Gwendoline, who finds her potential to lead the renowned Knights of the Round Table. Her mission: to defend her sister and repel invading demigods from Earth.
The game offers a narrative-driven experience in which players control Gwendoline, who uses spectral knights to fight waves of enemies and iconic monsters. London, the setting, is reinvented as a war, with danger lurking around every corner and behind every historical structure.
One of the most notable aspects is the “dual-knight fighting system,” which allows for dynamic combat scenarios with enormous knights roaming the streets of London. This, paired with the expansive, explorable levels, creates a one-of-a-kind gameplay experience.
From the trailer itself, you can say that it looks absolutely gorgeous. This gameplay and setting mostly reminds fans of Stellar Blade and Devil May Cry. I think the combat focus is more on hack and slash which is a good thing. I loved the monsters and bosses’ designs as well. I can see the inspiration taken from FromSoftware games here. The official Twitter account has also revealed that they will be revealing an 11-minute official gameplay of Tides of Annihilation tomorrow.
Although no release date or window has been mentioned, Tides of Annihilation will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, including PS5 Pro-specific features. What are your thoughts on this new game by Eclipse Glow Games? Do share your thoughts with us in the comment section.
