The prince of football is not in the game
Recently, FUTMinds and FUTLeaks revealed the players’ ratings in EA FC 26. In the leaked ratings, there were many big players missing.
This confirms that negotiation between EA Sports and the Brazilian League hasn’t progressed smoothly and that’s why Neymar is not present in the game.
Just like him, other players won’t be able to make it in the game. Let’s find out more details in this article.
Key players missing in EA FC 26
Right now, fans are waiting for the official reveal of player ratings and team ratings, which will be revealed by EA Sports pretty soon.
EA Sports has teased fascinating ICONs like Zlatan Ibrahimović and Thierry Henry for Ultimate Team. However, several famous active athletes will not make the cut.
The most notable footballer is none other than Neymar, Brazil’s all-time top scorer, who is currently playing for Santos in his homeland.
Stalled negotiation and not having rights for the Brazilian league, the Brazilian league teams and he won’t be included in EA FC 26.
There were some rumors, but now it has been concluded that Liga MX’s James RodrĂguez will also not be included in the game.
Another big player who will be missing in the game is Roberto Firmino, a former Liverpool player, currently playing for Al Sadd in Qatar.
Takehiro Tomiyasu, a former Premier League defender who is presently without a club, will also not play.
Dries Mertens, a renowned Belgian winger, and Raphaël Varane, a French defender with four Champions League titles and a World Cup, have recently retired from football. Ivan Rakitić, an ex-Barcelona midfielder who retired last month, completes the retiree list.

Why are these players missing?
Most of the exclusion from the game is based on licensing issues, league negotiations, and retirements.
There are many new clubs joining EA FC 26, but the Brazilian League and Liga MX are still missing. Meanwhile, transfers to non-licensed leagues (Firmino) and career terminations (Mertens, Varane, Rakitić) seal their fate.
It is kind of sad that Prince of Football won’t be in this game. I hope EA Sports can do something and bring him as a promo event for the Ultimate Team mode.
