Cyclops and Devil Dinosaur are joining Season 8
NetEase has officially revealed the Marvel Rivals Season 8 trailer, Sins of Alchemax, and the fans are going crazy after watching that epic cinematic Cyclops action.
Devil Dinosaur will be joining as a Vanguard in Season 8, while Scott Summers will arrive in Season 8.5, with his role as a mystery for now. Let’s check out more details in this article.

Cyclops is officially the 51st playable character and will join the roster in the Season 8.5 update in June 2026. For now, NetEase has not officially revealed the roadmap for the next season. You can expect Season 8.5 to start around June 12, 2026.
He is currently the most talked-about character on the internet, especially after receiving one of the best season trailers and truly showcasing why he is the true leader of the Mutants.
Everybody has the same question: Which role is he going to be? Devil Dinosaur is dropping as a Vanguard, so there is a high chance that Cyclops is going to be a Duelist. There is also a small chance that we might get a double Vanguard season as well.
What’s new in Marvel Rivals Season 8?
Season 8 is officially going to start on May 15, 2026. Devil Dinosaur will join the roster as a Vanguard, while Cyclops will join in Season 8.5.
There is a new Doom match map: “ALCHEMAX HEADQUARTERS,” which is dropping on May 28, 2026. Players are also getting new accessories for Devil Dinosaur (Lunella Lafayette), Black Widow (Liho), The Thing (Alicia Masters), Angela (Sera), Namor (Namora), Hela (Fenris), and Punisher (Frank Jr. and Lisa Castle).
New free costume trials will be available for college students starting on May 15, 2026. There is also a new PC Storage optimization that can free up to 35 gigabytes of storage.
New team-up ability where Punisher can ride Devil Dinosaur and use his primary and secondary fire, while he receives reduced damage. New patch notes have been dropped for the latest nerfs and buffs for the character. You can read the full patch notes on the official website.
