Rockstar Games has officially opened the pre-orders for GTA 6, but many fans were disappointed that the physical version does not contain a physical disc inside the box.
However, now there is some good news for the fans who want a true disc for the physical version. According to a well-known leaker, ‘Graczdari’, a physical disc version of GTA VI is expected to arrive after the game’s launch. Let’s check out more details in this article.
GTA 6 physical disc version might arrive in December 2026
Earlier reports from the Polish publication PPE.pl cited well-known leaker Graczdari, who previously claimed that GTA 6 will not receive a physical disc version at launch, which is now confirmed.
The same leaker has now claimed that the physical disc version will arrive sometime in December 2026, after the game’s launch.
Adding more claims to these supports is the screenshot from Rockstar Support, which has also surfaced on the internet. Here, the Rockstar Support is also confirming that the current pre-orders are only for the digital version.
The physical disc version will become available in the “following months.”For now, Rockstar Games has not confirmed or officially announced anything related to the physical disc version of the game.

Physical edition buyers will receive download codes
Currently, the fans can order GTA 6 Standard Edition ($79.99) and Ultimate Edition ($99.99) physical versions as a pre-order for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
They will receive a physical case of the game, but there will be a download code inside, instead of a physical disc. Also, on pre-ordering any edition, you will get ’55 Vapid Stanier vehicle, Exclusive outfits for Jason and Lucia, and Tommy Vercetti-inspired weapon skins.
