When is Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 hardcore mode going to be released?

The medieval adventure is going to become more difficult as Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is getting a hardcore mode next week.

This news was officially confirmed by Warhorse Studios on their official X account. They stated, “Hardcore Mode is coming to #KCD2 next week. Pick your perks. Embrace the pain.”

Hardcore Mode release and what to expect

The exact release date has not been announced yet, but the hardcore mode will be arriving next week. Fans are expecting it to be around April 15, 2025.

This is based on their roadmap, which was previously released. The update will be free and will dial up the challenge of the game to the next level.

The game has been a massive success, reaching a peak of 250,000 concurrent players on Steam. It also sold 2 million copies within the first two weeks.

The Barber Mode in March added a new customization mode for Henry. The upcoming hardcore mode update will add more difficulty with realism.

Expect a stripped-down experience in Hardcore Mode, which includes no fast travel, no player markers on the map, and no cardinal directions on the compass.

You’ll have to travel the medieval environment using landmarks, the stars, or by asking NPCs for directions, making each excursion a test of your intelligence.

Combat will also be more savage, with realistic mechanics that ensure every strike counts, and survival factors such as hunger and tiredness will be more severe.

New negative perks in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 hardcore mode

While playing the new hardcore mode, you must choose three negative perks to make this mode more interesting.

• Numbskull
• Somnambulant
• Bad Back:
• Picky Eater:

There is also a new trophy called “Against All Odds.” You have to beat the game with all negative perks active in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 hardcore mode.
