When is Marvel Rivals releasing on PS4? Season 4, new heros & more details

NetEase has finally announced the Marvel Rivals Season 4, which is going to start from September 12, 2025. Angela will be introduced as a new hero, while Daredevil will arrive in Season 4.5.

Marvel Rivals PS4 release date

Mark your calendars for Marvel Rivals PS4, which is all set to release on September 12, 2025, along with the start of Season 4.

This was officially announced by NetEase in their latest Dev Vision 9 video, which was released yesterday along with the Season 4 trailer.

Now, don’t expect the game to run similarly to PS5 or PC. It will be visually tweaked with performance. Necros, who is the biggest Rivals streamer, said that the game will run 30fps at 1080p on the PS4 console.

What’s new in Marvel Rivals Season 4?

Season 4 begins following Season 3’s Knull battle, with Hela, his previous ally as Queen in Black, now imprisoned in the Heart of Heaven.

Tension mounts as Dijang (Daredevil) seeks atonement, while Angela, Thor’s sister, demands custody of Hela, setting the scenario for a fiery confrontation. Meanwhile, Doctor Doom plans to siphon Shou-Lao’s Chronal Chi, with only the Immortal Iron Fist standing in his way.

Angela will join as the Vanguard in Season 4, while Daredevil will join the roster in Season 4.5.

There are new team-ups and adjusted team-ups added, with many heroes getting buffs and nerfs. New college students’ perks will be added, which will give a trial for new skins.

New accessories have been added, with a new map also arriving later this month. Developers have also talked about the placement matches, which will be added soon to the game.
