Console first approach from Rockstar Games
In the interview, Strauss Zelnick explained that Rockstar Games always prioritized consoles for the major releases.
According to him, the goal is always to serve the “core audience” first, which traditionally resides on the console platforms.
This isn’t a new strategy for them. Rockstar’s major titles like Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA 5 and L.A. Noire all launched on consoles first and then eventually made their way to PC. The same thing is going to happen with GTA 6.

Will GTA 6 come to PC later?
For now, Strauss Zelnick didn’t explicitly confirm a PC version, but his comments strongly suggest that the game will arrive later on the PC platforms.
Rockstar has always used this strategy to further polish the PC version and deliver amazing visuals and performance for PC players.
After the launch on console, the PC release later could also be a chance for the company to drive more sales. He also said that some customers will buy the game twice.
Sony PlayStation marketing deal & higher expectations
Just like the rumor said before, Sony PlayStation has a marketing deal with Rockstar Games. GTA 6 trailer 2 was fully shown on the base PS5 and you can also expect the upcoming gameplay trailer in the future to be shown on PS5 and PS5 Pro.
Strauss Zelnick has also said that the expectations are quite high and terrifying. The creative team in the studio has been given unlimited financial resources to deliver perfection.
He also said that selling 10 million copies on the launch day will be considered disastrous for the game. The analyst has forecasted that it will exceed 25 million copies sold at launch, so the stakes are really high for the game.
