Next-gen graphics, gameplay and more
The Battlefield franchise has faced many significant changes in the past few years, however, they are looking forward to changing everything with Battlefield 6. Battlefield V in 2018 and Battlefield 2042 in 2021 left fans and the community very disappointed.
EA is determined to return to its roots with its new game and hopes that it can deliver the same old experience in this game. Let’s check out more details in this article.
Back to its roots with Battlefield 6
EA and DICE are going all out for its new sequel, hoping to recapture the magic that made the series so popular in the first place. According to reports from EA’s financial conversations and interviews with important figures such as Vince Zampella, the game promises to bring back the iconic aspects fans have been seeking.
- 64-Player Matches: Going back to this scale which fans really loved.
- Modern Warfare Setting: Moving away from the futuristic settings to a more contemporary battlefield.
- Destructible Environments: The signature Battlefield gameplay where buildings can be demolished as well to create more chaos.
- Class System: A restoration to the classic four-class structure will improve strategic gameplay.

Playtesting for a better gaming experience
It is said that EA is currently focusing on heavy playtesting for Battlefield 6 compared to its previous titles. This will also include the players testing in the future.
The amount of data and input they will get will be unthinkable and everything it’s for making a good game, refining game mechanics and balance before the actual launch of the game.
There is a definite shift towards a “player first” strategy, with plans to restore the Battlefield Community Test Environment (CTE), which would allow for continuing community feedback.
The development team
Four studios are collaborating to make Battlefield 6 a masterpiece:
- DICE manages the main multiplayer experience.
- Motive: Concentrating on single-player content and incorporating narrative elements from titles such as the Dead Space remake.
- Criterion Games: Contributing to both single-player and multiplayer components, drawing on their experience with the Need for Speed series.
- Ripple Effect: Developing a new Battlefield experience, which could hint at fresh gaming possibilities.
