Decision rests on Take-Two & Rockstar Games
During a recent interview with Variety, Nintendo of America president Devon Pritchard, was asked whether the most awaited game of all time, GTA 6, could arrive on Nintendo Switch 2.
The president didn’t rule out the possibility. He explained that Nintendo aims to offer the game to players of all ages and, ultimately, this decision rests with Rockstar Games and Take-Two.
“That’s going to be a conversation for Take-Two and Rockstar.”
The president has neither confirmed or denied the possibility of a Switch 2 port. The company seems to be open to bringing the game to their latest handheld console.

Conclusion
Even if Rockstar and Take-Two agree, it would be a very difficult task to make a good port that will work smoothly on Switch 2.
GTA 6 is Rockstar’s most ambitious open-world game ever and we still don’t have any proper idea about how well it will run on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. If the port truly happens, then we might see many compromises in the game’s features, immersiveness and visuals.
For now, GTA 6 will remain exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, as it launches on November 19, 2026.
Is GTA 6 coming to Nintendo Switch 2?
