Xbox fans are pretty excited about the Arrowhead Game Studios’ co-op shooter game, Helldivers 2, which is finally coming to Xbox Series X/S on August 26, 2025.

Helldivers 2 on Xbox Game Pass?

Despite the excitement among the Xbox fans, Helldivers 2 won’t be coming to Xbox Game Pass.

Arrowhead’s Community Manager, Baskinator, has further clarified the information on the Helldivers 2 Discord channel that the game is “definitely not” coming to Xbox Game Pass.

If Xbox fans need to play the game and defend the Super Earth, they need to purchase the game.

All Xbox fans will be able to play this game starting from August 26, 2025.

Players can use the “New Zealand trick” (setting their console’s region to New Zealand) to start playing at 7:00 AM ET on August 25, 2025.

Price, pre-order & editions

There are two editions available to pre-order:

• Standard Edition ($39.99) includes the base game.
• The Super Citizen Edition ($59.99) includes the DP-53 Savior of the Free armor, Will of the People cape, MP-98 Knight weapon, Super Citizen Status, Stratagem Hero mini-game, and Premium Warbond token.

Pre-order either edition before August 26th to get three armor sets: TR-7 Ambassador of the Brand, TR-62 Knight, and TR-9 Cavalier of Democracy.

Pre-orders are now available on the Microsoft Store, with prospective new content such as the reported Freedom’s Flame Warbond likely to bolster player numbers.
