Leaks and rumors have resurfaced about the upcoming Wuthering Waves 2.4 to 2.7 characters in the game.

This was shared by reliable leaker Stepleaker on April 14, 2025 and tells the details about new Resonators like Cartethyia, Phrolova, Augusta, and Younuo.

Version 2.4: Cartethyia and Lupa

The version 2.4 is expected to launch in June 2025 and will introduce two new Resonators in the game.

Cartethyia, a fan favorite from the Rinascita storyline, makes her playable debut as a 5-star Aero unit with a Sword.

She is known for her involvement in Act III and a teased adult form in the After the Overture video. Her kit features a metamorphosis into her bigger form during her ultimate, which increases Aero Erosion damage.

Lupa, a mysterious new character, is a 5-star Fusion unit wielding a Broadblade.

According to leaks, her playstyle boosts Fusion damage and normal attacks, with a DPS gain linked to HP loss, bringing analogies to Asuka from Evangelion.

Version 2.5: Phrolova and a New 4-Star

Wuthering Waves version 2.5 is expected to launch around mid-July 2025 and will introduce Phrolova, a long-awaited 5-star Havoc Resonator.

Her kit will be focused more on crowd control, but her playstyle still remains a mystery for now. A new 4-star female Resonator will debut—the first 4-star in Rinascita.

Version 2.6: Augusta and Younuo

Wuthering Waves 2.6 version will likely arrive in late August 2025 and will introduce Augusta and Younuo. They both will appear in 2.4’s story.

Augusta is a 5-star Electro Broadblade user known as a “big Yuanwu,” implying a tanky playstyle. Younuo, a 5-star Aero Gauntlet user, prefers a younger model, implying an agile, close-combat focus.

Version 2.7: Mystery Male Resonator

Wuthering Waves 2.7 version is expected to be released in early October 2025 and will feature a single new character: a 5-star male Electro Resonator.

Detailed information about him is still scarce for now. However, it is expected that he will be a dedicated support for Jinhsi, similar to Yuanwu’s role.
