Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) is all set for the season 2 launch and Yixuan is the new character who will be joining the roster.

Yixuan’s release date in Zenless Zone Zero

She is going to debut as a playable character on June 4, 2025. This is also when the Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.0 update will arrive.

This date corresponds to the game’s regular six-week update cycle, which began on June 3, 2025, with the end of Version 1.7’s banners.

HoYoverse published this timeline on official social media and HoYoLAB, although it is subject to confirmation closer to the release date.

Yixuan first appeared as an NPC in Version 1.7. In the game, she invited the Phaethon siblings to the Yunkui Summit to train them in managing their implants and hollow navigation skills.

She is the leader of the Yunkui Summit faction and her role in season 2 will be central, set in the new Waifei Peninsula area.

Yixuan’s new attribute and specialty

With her introduction, the game will have a fresh twist on the combat system. Her attributes are still unconfirmed for now.

However, the leaks suggest that she’ll wield a variant of Ether, distinct from existing Attributes like Ice or Fire, much like how Hoshimi Miyabi’s Frost is a unique take on Ice.

It is also expected that she is going to bring an entirely new specialty separate from the current categories of Attack, Anomaly, Support, Stun, or Defense.

According to leaks, she might be an offensive agent, though her exact role in the offensive or defensive department is still not confirmed.

Her S-rank rarity is quite possible, given her significance and the unique insignia next to her name, similar to Miyabi’s, which represents her strength in New Eridu’s lore.

She also has a bird companion, the Qingming Bird. Yixuan’s arrival represents a huge expansion for ZZZ, since Version 2.0 will also be available on Xbox Series X|S.
