Best characters & picks against Zandar (Lygus)

This new boss mechanics are not easy to handle and you have to rely on summons or Remembrance.

You should go for Physical, Ice, or Wind DPS units. Here’s what you can pick:

• Support Picks: Ruan Mei, Robin, Tribbie, Jade, Pela, Bronya, Sunday, Tingyun
• DPS Options: Hysilens, Phainon, The Herta, Blade, Argenti, Jingliu, Black Swan, Saber
• Sustain Units: Lingsha, Aventurine, Gallagher, Natasha, Fu Xuan, Gepard, Huohuo

Boss moveset

Here’s how the new boss’s moveset and arsenal look like:

• Form change: Each phase change increases the damage output.
• Summon & Support: He summons and heals magical creatures, complicating combat.
• Paradox Trigger: Increases an ally’s Ultimate but reduces their HP by half (shields can safely counter this).
• Genesis Mode: His default posture; too many allies or adversaries (such as Memosprites) cause a phase shift to Debate Mode.
• Debate Mode: A charging phase in which he is weak but will unleash a devastating Ultimate if you do not eliminate 10 summoned adversaries in time.
• Judgement: Prime Mover’s Verdict Entanglement provides a large AoE attack that grows stronger the longer he remains in Debate Mode.

How to counter Zandar?

Players have to manage their mechanics and moveset very wisely; one small mistake and you might have to start the fight again.

You should avoid the Ultimates, which are granted by Paradox Trigger unless it’s Phainon, as the HP penalty is steep.

In the debate mode, you should look to eliminate summoned enemies as soon as possible to weaken Zandar’s Ultimate. Try to use Memosprites sparingly, so that you can avoid the accelerating phase shifts of the boss.
