Zenless Zone Zero 1.5: Evelyn Chevalier revealed as new fire-type character

HoYoverse has recently revealed some new details on Evelyn Chevalier through a drip marketing campaign for Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) version 1.5. She was previously hinted and teased in a trailer at The Game Awards 2024.

Who is Evelyn Chevalier?

Fans of ZZZ may know Evelyn from the teaser for The Game Awards 2024, where she was seen following Astra Yao, implying her role as Astra’s manager.

This character seems like she is more like an authoritative lady and will be a playable character in the Zenless Zone Zero 1.5 version. This information has already been confirmed by HoYoverse and fans are pretty excited for another new character.

Character Type and Abilities

• Element: Fire
• Fighting Style: Attack

For now, we only know that her element is fire and has an aggressive attacking fighting style. In the future, we might see some more leaks related to her abilities and skills.

Here’s what Astra Yao has to say about Evelyn in ZZZ: “Wow, you’re so sharp, Eve! What did you do before becoming a manager… a detective? Or PubSec officer?” This dialogue highlights Evelyn’s observational skills and past that might have been in law enforcement or similar fields, adding layers to her character.

Additionally, an investor remarked during a business deal, “She’s unyielding, sharp, decisive, and never leaves openings for a rebuttal. With a manager like that paving the way, no wonder she’s earning what she does.” This paints Evelyn as a formidable and strategic figure within the game’s universe.

Evelyn’s release details

So when will she become a playable character? Both she and Astra Yao will be arriving in the Zenless Zone Zero 1.5 (ZZZ) version update which is scheduled for January 22, 2025. Although HoYoverse has not yet announced when Evelyn’s character banner will be active in the update, it is thought that she will be included in patch 1.5’s second phase.
